Funny at being not funny?

A class mate just pointed out today that I'm not funny and my sense of humor is weird.

How dare her. I wont be sitting with her anymore.

Kidding.

Sure, some people have rolled their eyes when I tell them that grand theft auto Mexican joke that I like, or when I impersonate a Russian model giving shout outs at Fashion TV :P. But it doesn't mean she can blatantly bash me like that. Right? Righhhhhhht?

I can't help myself when I find these things to be funny, no matter what other people say!

1. Mad TV
Okay, some people hate it because some of the contents are offensive and generally racist. And sometimes they force things to be funny when they aren't. But seriously, I can't make myself not loving this particular video :

2. Eric Cartman
He's mean, heartless, sneaky, selfish, and many other bad things but I would still give him a bear hug and a cake. One of my favorites is when he's giving a speech while dressing like Hitler. Someone please translate this since I don't understand German.

3. Harmless Pranks
I got people put me in their hit list because of my, ahem, pranks. My parents included I guess, since I hid a creepy looking giant iguana under their blanket once.

4. Pootie Tang

If you don't get the genius-ness that is Pootie Tang, I don't know what to do with you. Or maybe people don't know what to do with me since I like Pootie Tang? Dammit. I am weird.

5. Fake Accents
Some people don't think impersonating accents is funny, but I do. I can do gestures too, maybe with a little bit of exaggerations. I can do very good accents of Malay, Sing-lish, Mexican Spanish, Colombian Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, British, Indian, and of course Russian. This seems to offend some people quite a lot, so I don't do it unless I'm asked to ;).

What about you, non-weird people? What do you find funny?

ps. I find random blogging funny too, hence why I do that a lot. In my defense, I'm pretty much dysfunctional after a long day at school. Bear with me :P.

I play pranks on my brother all the time- especially when it's early in the morning, and he's unaware of his surroundings.

    Hilarious.

Oh my little Lolita, we are meant to be friends. Someday, we will finally meet in person and make each other laugh so hard we will pee our pants! I thought I was the only one who found Pootie Tang to be utterly hilarious!

I'm also a big fan of Mr. Deeds, and movies like that. Goofy, completely stupid humor gets me rolling.

South Park lost me a bit with the latest season. I've always watched the occasional episode, but some have been REALLY over the top -- like the Britney Spears episode, or Christopher Reeve running around eating fetuses/babies ...

    It's funny in places though!

I've always said, finding someone with a sense of humour is good, but the real deal is finding someone with the same brand of humour as you. It sucks to laugh at different things. Some points-

    1) Eric Cartman and I = married.

    2) MadTv is a HELL YES for me!

    3) When I do get to Jakarta, thou shalt speaketh to me in a Singlish accent, and I'll speak to you in my Indo accent. Then you'll switch to Italian (maybe), and I'll speak to you in my French one. And we shall go on. And on.

I have a weird sense of humor too, so have no fear or um worries about people not always getting it. You rock and that is all that matters really. :)

Humor comes in different colors - your classmate is simply color blind!

    On Pootie Tang... funny!

  1. I know one thing, and that is that I am rooting for a vlog of you doing russian models giving shout outs! THAT sound hillarious!

    Vlog!Vlog!!Vlog!!!

I'd just beat her down and be all "WHO'S FUNNY NOW WITH HER NOSE BLEEDING ON THE SIDEWALK, HUH??"

But then you'd probably just scare her into laughing. If you're okay with that, then I support you. I'll hold your earrings and stuff.

  1. Actually alot of those things are beyond annoying but, you laugh later. So technically I just think she's having a delayed reaction.

I don't care what other people thing of my sense of humor, I think I'm hilarious and I crack myself up all the time.

Also, I don't have many friends. lol

When I try to make a joke, my Hub and his brother just roll their eyes and have to make cracks about how not-funny I am. They finally explained it to me: apparently my humor is "intelligent humor", like one-liners and witty remarks. They only like humor that is insulting people. Hmmmmm.

    - Cesia.

  1. yo momma, we should shove our manolo blahniks up her ass!! it's ok babe, you have so many other friends, you don't need a humourless one. *pow pow!* ngah ha ha ha. that japanese part was hilarious!

    Agreed on number five.

People doing accents - always funny.

I can't get into MadTV! I think I was in High School for awhile, but I'm an SNL girl, through and through.

(Maybe it's like Elvis and the Beatles where no one likes them the same amount?)

I guess I have to meet you in person to judge ;-)

Lols @ the first video. I love to play pranks on my mom and my brother. My mom's a major panic queen. There are times when we're driving around and she's always saying omg omg every 15 minutes. There's this one time we went for a drive thru (first time ever since our driver or brother is usually the one who drives) and she asked me what I wanted to order for the both of us. So I told her I wanted a burger and then I told her don't forget to say DINE IN please! And she said DINE IN at a DRIVE THRU! wahahaha.... Ok...maybe that wasn't so funny, but it's funny to me. And I still laugh about it. =)

OMG Lolita! I adore your blog redesign!

I, personally, have a rather off sense of humor. I laugh at dirty/awkward/lame/not all that funny jokes. Also, I love geek humor ala xkcd. My friends think my sense of humor is funny in the sense that they laugh at me. But I don't care :D

  1. I speak my dialect in reverse and use a Korean or Japanese accent when I say it. There's five of us in the office who can do it. It's funny when people think we can speak Japanese or Korean when we really were just faking the words and the accent.

    MadTV is funny.
And my parents quote Pootie Tang, which is rather humorous.
I think accents and gestures are funny =) I bet you are funny. Your classmate is likely jealous.

  1. Kyla said...:

Ha, I LOOOOVE when people do accents :) You should come sit by me in class, I would love it!

  1. Try this one out on your classmate:

Q: Why does Snoop Dogg need an umbrella?

    A: Fo drizzle.

If that doesn't amuse, then I don't know what will.

  1. Kali said...:

Yeah - I'm not funny either.

Well I mean, I have a sense of humour - I laugh at EVERYTHING that's even remotely funny. But I can't make jokes. Or that. Ever.

    :D

I did however make a little mini-vlog of vlog bloopers, so if bloopers make you smile head over to my blog to laugh at me being a retard...!

  1. @Cheryl : Totally. It's usually the other way around here though. My brothers are sneakier than me.

@Brooke : totally, the trashier the better. LOL.

@Seb : Yessss, some are too forced. But the world of warcraft episode HAHAHAHA don't you feel it's kinda touche especially for you??

@Nashe : Oh it's on!! Get ova here!!

@Sheri: HAHA yeah it's all good, I kinda am happy when people get me :P

@Foxymoron : Pootie Tang got me giggling with no apparent reasons sometimes.

@Carina : Don't tempt me, I still have my platinum blond wig. HAHA.

@Ben : Oh yes please, are you sure you're not helping me by holding her or something? She's bigger than me. I'm scared :P

    @PerplxinTexan : Slow reflex, I don't know, I think she doesn't joke :P

@Jaime : Oh you are funny. I read your blog and I love it!!

@Cesia : I like one liner jokes too. I actually like every joke, I have strong laughing muscles. I guess.

@Ejannz : Manolo Blahniks are too precious to be shoved up her ass, HAHAHA.

@Muppet Soul : Yeah some of Mad Tv jokes are pretty boring though, but when it's funny it's twisting my tummy :P

    @Kizzy : Come meet me :)

@Lilu : I'm learning how to do that too, teach me :P

    @Seb : where's my promotional fee?LOL

@Mel : inside jokes with moms are the best. Esp. if your mom is a typical conventional Asian mom like mine. HAHA. Once I took her to this street cafe slash bar, because they have killer nachos. And I craved it. She's shocked just seeing people drunk and slurring while playing pool LMAO

@Thankful Paul : hey and welcome!

@Elisabeth : :P Your situation is similar to mine. Well self entertainment is the best!! No matter people understand it or not.

@Angel : LOL we do the same here too. I can't do korean accent though, teach me :P

@Nory : I LOVEEE it that you love Mad Tv too!!:D

    @Kyla : I would love to, we'd have a blast. I can tell.

@themanhattantransfer : LOL I just snorted. Fo drizzle, will tell my friends that just to see the priceless reactions.

@Kali : Heading over there now. LOL. What are you talking about you're not funny? If you're not funny then nobody else is :P
