What is this I heard about venues throwing and people going to Sex and The City parties this weekend?

As a SATC fan in their early television days, I can tell that the euphoria is back in full force and a lot of girls will dress up in their Carrie Bradshaw-like attires, go out with their girl friends and clinking their cocktail glasses to each other like the fabulous four in the next few nights.

Which is pretty fabulous, I think. I'm all for girls night out. I haven't had one in a while.

Not a girls night out, but it's fun!

Scratch that. I haven't really had one in a long time. Almost had, like two or three months ago when I went out with two of my girls to a wedding after party in one of the so-called hip clubs here. But then one of them somehow brought a date in the end. She looked at me apologetically and said, "It's okay, right?" so I had to nod approvingly with a bright sunshine-y smile on my face when deep inside I wanted to strangle her. Hos before Bros, right? Why can't hos go out and about without bros tagging along?* Especially since some bros often just hang out with their all testosterone crew and act like they're super cool and single even when they're not.**

Sure, I get closer and closer with the girls from the office but I don't think going for a random simple dinner together classifies as a girls night out. We haven't reached that phase when one of us would not be surprised by other's silly drunken behavior yet.

I also don't think working until midnight and order in greasy deep fried noodles that make you burp from the closest Chinese eatery while typing like a maniac, gossiping at the same time, and listening to random music by Justin Timberlake fit the description of a successful girls night out either.

That's just sad.

Scratch that again. It's not so bad, but this might be my withdrawal talking.

I better have a margarita or two or three or four in my system by the end of this weekend or HEADS WILL ROLL.

** Emphasis on some. I do realize that not all men are jerks and we should not blame all of them for the retarded things some of them do!
