Not my office. It believed on Friday most of its employees should still work at least 10-12 hours. Probably why it was pretty empty too, some were pretty courageous to not show up.
But I still feel like it's a long weekend though.
Wednesday night after all, was that freaking awesome Pitbull's concert that jump started my mood.
Thursday was a lot of relaxing time in bed, followed by DVD shopping and blueberry frozen yogurt before going back to my post on the couch. I had to finish a work assignment due Friday morning but a few awesome distractions like Glee, Supernatural, Chuck, and that new chick flick movie starring Hillary Duff ( hahaha) cheered me up.
Friday was back to work with almost nothing to do but submitting my assignment from the previous day. No joke. I spent time playing feeding frenzy, watching youtube, joked around with my office mates, went to the mall across the street...twice. We browsed some clothes, had coffee and ice cream, went back to the office only to have my supervisor telling me she had no work for me. Happy dance commenced. Then one of my girlies I haven't met in months told me she's in said mall so I went back again. We caught up, checked out the book store, browsed some shoes, contemplated to get drinks and ended up in this cozy, secluded, open air bar serving the best fruity mojitos in the city.
Very relaxing, and much needed. There are times I just wanna enjoy a company of a close friend instead of going with lots of people to a so-called hip bar or club where the agenda is just looking good but the conversation is lacked in depth. Not that I'm against it. I just don't feel like it after a long day at work. I can barely move, much less trying to put tons of make up in my face and squeeze myself in a little dress. So thanks to this girl. Love her lots.
Saturday was simply awesome, sleeping a lot before heading to a salon to get a hair treatment. Sometime in the evening, I went with D'Makaveli boys to this homey local bar to watch soccer. Not that I understand, but I'm chipper when rounds of drinks involved. The night continued with us moving to a swankier spot, Domain. Angga was hosting. Free bottle of vodka and a lot of fun conversation. Music wasn't upbeat enough to dance to though. Old school hiphop. Not your best companion when you wanna dance in your semi-drunken state.
So we're moving again to our newly renovated favorite club, Blowfish. Music was a whole lot better, I can't wait for my gig there next week. The high light of the night, however, was a couple of sexy dancers with very tiny outfits, wearing R2-D2 masks and holding a light saber as they grind to each other.
It gives the new meaning to Empire Strikes Back, if you know what I mean.
I also kinda took a light saber in the end. Good times.
Sunday is today. It's currently 2 PM in the afternoon and I'm still in my PJ's. I don't have anything planned yet but my brother suggested going to a Korean joint and eat as many barbecued stuff possible until his fart smells like one. Classy.
Have a fabulous weekend, lovelies!

I had a similar thing happen with my work last year. We had a public holiday on the Tuesday, we were told we had to work Monday even though everything else was closed.. and only about 4 of us show up (even my boss didn't)
And there wasn't a whole lot to do there either.
Your work sounds cool. So much fun stuff to pass your time when you have no work to do. We're pretty limited because a lot of websites are now blocked. Bastards.
