Strasbourg - Notre-Dame

The centre of Strasbourg is best known for it's Gothic cathedral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg. For those who don't speak or understand French it translates as Our Lady of Strasbourg. With it's 142 meters it's the 6th tallest church in the world.

I never could wrap my head about how people used to build something so huge, but usually it took hundreds of years. This church was built through 1015 to 1439 and only completely finished in 1879. Gothic style in architecture has always been a favorite of mine. Gothic architecture can be best recognized by the thorough work and details, and it's sharp and vertical lines, which, due to the perspective, make the cathedrals look even larger from inside out.

Though the power of church has often been portrayed in negative light, the beauty of the architecture has never ceased to amaze me. An empty church can really be a point of rest in a busy modern city. Though Notre-Dame was far from abandoned. We were there at around 4pm, so there we quite a lot of people. I kind of dislike large groups of people, but sometimes you can't avoid them either.

The day before our visit, we also took some outfit pictures. While my boyfriend was snapping pictures a large group of tourists couldn't stop staring. Kinda weird, Jeez, people can't just mind their own business!

Oh, yeah, I'm a huuuuge leopard print lover, but only the 'beautiful' kind. You have a lot of ugly ones as well. I own numerous leopard pieces and every time I see a new one, I must restrain myself from buying it :)

And my ombre just blends in there!

Anyhow, this cathedral has left a huge impression on me which I like to share with you.

Inside you can find the extraordinary astronomical clock.

During summer nights the cathedral lights up during a spectacular light show.

London coolness

Moving on to the second London outfit. As I said before, I decided to pack light to avoid carrying too much bags on the way home, I know the shopping routine. Not everyone was as smart so I ended up helping one of the girls out, you know who you're, addict :p

I don't like wearing the same outfit two days in a row, but sometimes it's impossible to avoid. Even though I didn't plan to shop (too much), going to London and not shop at Primark and Topshop is impossible. So that's how I ended up refreshing my outfit for a second day in London with yet another leopard print dress. I'm a leopard print addict, if there was such thing as a 'leopard print rehab', I'd be a resident. The rehab should totally be on an exotic island ,though, with palm trees and cocktails. But back to the topic... So another leopard print dress and just for £10!!! Just couldn't resist it.

Let me tell you that I never had as much fun taking outfit pictures and they turned out great. We were hanging out at this suburban neighborhood just across our hostel, pretending to be blogger gangsta's, sunglasses included. Needless to say that the the locals were interested in our activities, but being the polite people they are, never stared longer than a few seconds. I wish I'd had these girls with me everyday!

I had major difficulties choosing the pictures, I loved them that much. So, yet again an overload.

Me again! I'm having vacation, aka the time of my life.

I just spend the weekend at Graspop, one of the biggest metal festivals of Europe.

Thanx to a great opportunity I will be going to Werchter too. But more about this later.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough the two first days, so I didn't risk to take my camera with me.

On the third day I was just plain lazy.

I'll probably take my camera with me this weekend, so I can show u some pictures.

But about something else now. I'm a participant in a new Belgian bloggers initiative called "Project Blogway".

Each week the bloggers take outfit pictures around a chosen theme.

The first theme of the contest was the 50s.
I was very glad with the chosen theme, because the 50s are one of my favorite decades.
And nothing let's u feel as feminine as pin-up look.
I know some of you have seen a few pictures I send in already, but I want to show u some more.
Because I had so much fun shooting this look. I just had to wear my favorite leopard print for this outfit!
It was actually quiet funny, because it was shot in between two rainfalls. And we were kind of waiting for the rain to stop to take the pictures. Weather is kind of unpredictable here.

Fashionably Late

Last week me and my friends attended the Glam*IT Fashionably Late event at the Oxford store in Antwerp. This day turned out to be all about popping accessories. It was fun to spend some time with my girls and see some fellow bloggers.

New in my closet

There has been a lot of new stuff that I recently bought: new cell, laptop and yesterday I finally bought a descent camera, a Nikon D5000. I'm very happy with it so far. Expect lot's of outfit pictures from now on! Off course I bought new clothes. This time I didn't went crazy on the sales, as I do every year, because of the previous expensive items, but still.

Now that my bank account is dangerously close to zero, I'm almost satisfied.

Here're a few new additions to my wardrobe.

You can't believe how happy I am about buying this leopard trench coat! I've dreamed about a leopard trench for years, but they were nowhere to find. Only option was Dolce & Gabbana, but they're way out of my price category. So when I saw this trench hanging in Zara, I instantly fell in love. I didn't buy it right away and the weeks of waiting just drove me mad. Now it's finally mine. Can't wait to wear it, only if the weather would get better quickly!

I bought this tutu dress at the sales in Zara. I've been looking at it before the holidays, and was very happy to find it in sale period. I have just a perfect occasion coming up to wear it. Promise to tell u more about it soon.

I bought this sweater in a vintage store for a very low price. I doubted at first, because yellow was never a color that I wore. But my recent love of color took the upper hand. Just looking at it brightens up my day.

Neon Spots

Here're the promised pictures from the Hermès "I love my scarf" party that I went to last Thursday. I had a nice time, especially because my friend Nathalie was with me.

She's a little sunshine! A big thanx to her and her bf for providing the pictures ;)

We had an opportunity to take a picture with the famous scarf. I also saw a few fellow bloggers. It's always nice to see people in person, makes this all more real to me.

The party itself was nice, but there's always place for improvement...
