A red line

This weekend treated us with the last pieces of summer. It was very warm, even hot. But still I couldn't wait to wear my new red pair of jeans from Forever 21. I was looking for a perfect pair for a long time and finally found one at the preview of the store. The jeans are really nice and also very cheap, around 15 euro's.

I wore them two days in a row, something I have to do when I'm at my boyfriends house.

I did two completely different outfits with them and captured it. I really like the contrast between these two outfits. It outplays different aspects of my personality. The first one represents my sweet side, which all my friends know. The second one shows my tough girl side and the 'don't mess with me' attitude.

I like them both.

To start with the first one. It's a fun holiday outfit which is perfect for the summer of our parts of Europe.

I was inspired by France and Paris, my beloved city. I just can see myself strolling around the cosy streets on a sunday afternoon. Unfortunately Paris isn't where I live, but still I try to capture and channel it's spirit once in a while. Combined with the striped nautical top and a straw fedora hat for a finishing touch.

Our kitty always comes to check what we are up to when we take outfit pictures. She's just such a curious attention seeker.

Paris je t'aime

After a few years I finally returned to Paris, the most beautiful city in the world.

I can't explain why I love it so much, it must be the energy, the architecture, the romance in the air. But as with love, u just can't explain the feeling, it's just there.

This was my third visit and the best one yet, it was also a birthday present from my bf. Because I knew the city well, there wasn't that much pressure to do as much sight seeing as possible, we just wondered around, enjoyed each others company, had nice dinners and talks. For the first time I haven't bought zillion of things, only one pair of good Italian boots and some treats from La Durée.

I also didn't take a lot of pictures, but still.

Day I:

On the first day we lunched at La Durée, checked out some stores. In the evening we took the metro to Sacre Coeur, so we wouldn't have to climb all these stairs, but only the top of it. Still my legs were dead afterwards, but the view was worth it. I've already seen it two times by day, but in the evening the whole view was even more magical. It was also nice not to have this mass hysteria of people that are usually there during the day. Afterwards we had dinner at a cosy restaurant on Montmartre and visited Musée de l'érotisme on Place Pigalle, which was funny and a bit bizarre at the same time.

Day II

On the next day we returned to La Durée on Champs Elysée to buy some macaroons and pastries, I ended up with two boxes of macaroons and two Ispahan pastries. We also visited The Inca Gold exhibition at Pinacothèque of Paris on Place de la Madeleine. I also bought new boots in some outlet store near by.

I didn't end up eating the two boxes, one was for my best friend and the other for my mom.

Although me and my friend ate them straight away, the other one is still half filled.

These macaroons have seen half of Paris and Flanders but were still intact when arriving at their destinations, amazing!

Words can't describe how much I enjoyed this trip, I already miss Paris and I'll be back many times. In these two days I also became an expert in metro's, a thing I never expected. From now on I'm not going to be scared to get lost there.

A Break

My exams are finally over and I'm a free girl for almost two weeks.

Tomorrow I'll be going to Paris for two days, the trip is my birthday present from my bf.

I'm very excited, last time has been a few years ago and I really miss Paris.

It's still my favorite city.

I was planning to do another post before I leave, but dew to post-exam anxiety it didn't work out.

I just packed in an hour...

I'll be coming back saturday night, sunday I'm invited to an excited event which I'll tell u about when I come back.

So, till sunday.

Le Printemps

Le Printemps, a departement store in Paris, has an amazing window display this winter.

It's a Russian theme this time and it even makes me a little proud, 'cause I'm Russian myself.

I'm absolutely in love with this pictures, the windows look like a fairytale world.

I wish I could see it with my own eyes! I miss Paris, this city has it all for me. It feels like magic every time I'm there.

It also displays this Baccarat crystal chandelier that was first introduced at the World Expo of 1867 in Paris. The chandelier was made in honour of tsarina Maria Aleksandrovna, the wife of tsaar Aleksander II. The tsaar had a big love for crystal.
