Goodbye is Hello

So this is what'll be the last post of this year for me.
This year has been special, I can't say good or bad, 'cause both sides of the medal were always there. All I can tell that I learned a lot about myself and about other people. What I realized is that you have to listen to your heart, because within it always lies the truth and by finding the inner truth, you find happiness and peace. Don't be afraid to be happy, you can't sacrifice yourself all the time. Live, enjoy, love! This all may sound corny, but this is really the way I feel.
This year has been one of major change, life changing, you can say.

Blogging has been going up and down as well, but I do my best.
Thanx to the blog I learned a lot of new and interesting people, new opportunities came along.
One of my New Years resolutions is blogging improvement, I do lack discipline sometimes.
But combining blogging with studying and a private life is not easy, but then again, whom am I telling this?! You all know that!
I want to thank all of my readers and occasional guest for the nice comments and response I've received the past year. I appreciate it so much!

I also realized that I have the best friends in the whole world, whom I love dearly. Although I don't always get the chance to see them, we stick together through the years. And to the one who reads me here: "I love you, guys! Thank you for supporting me no matter what."

And to all you I wish a happy New Year! I hope you can celebrate it with your loved ones, may that be friends or family. I hope 2011 brings you something real and important, maybe something you wish for even will come true.

I'll see you in 2011!

Small update

Between long dinners and cake parties and cleaning up the house I found a little time to update.
I must say that I forgot to take a picture of my Christmas outfit, believe me, this happens a lot to me. I didn't have a lot of time before the party, during the party I was busy eating and having a good time and afterwards it was already too dark. Plus enormous amount of snow outside and me wearing heels. I wore a new leopard dress btw.
Excuses, I know, I know. But I promise to be a good girl and show you my new years outfit, which I'm still haven't figured out.

So, back on topic, the reason for my update is another surprise that hit my mail box today.
A Birthday/Christmas present from my friends Margot, Nathalie & Griet.
Margot texted me this morning that the package will probably arrive today and she was right.
A few hours later the doorbell rang and there was the postman, handing me a box.
Inside I found a Birthday and Christmas card, a box full of delicious macarons. They were a little bit bruised from their trip, but not less tasty.
And last but not least a set of Fashionology bird skull earrings!!! I'm in love with them, thank u, girls!
Now my bird skull necklace has friends to hand out with ;)

Here's the bait :

I've become a real macaron addict, I must admit that this is already a second box that I got for my birthday. Yummy!

River Island S/S 11 Preview

Last wednesday, on my birthday, I was invited to the preview of the new s/s 11 collection of River Island. Despite a large amount of schoolwork i still decided to go, I already missed the opening of the store in september.
It was nice to see some new pieces and dream away about the warm summer days that are so far away. Especially now, when it keeps on snowing here.
I saw lot's of amazing accessories and the mens collection was pretty impressive too!
It was also nice to see some familiar faces from the Belgian blogging scene. Especially Krizia from Shark Attack whom I wanted to meet for a long time. Unfortunately, she was already leaving by the time I arrived.
All the guests received a gift certificate I bought a nice fake leather jacket with a gorgeous shoulder detail. It is something I wouldn't be my first pick if I was just shopping, but I wanted something special. I also bought a pair of shoes, will I'll show U later.

Fiesta Margotica Part I

I know Halloween is long behind us, but not when you're at the house of my dear friend Margot.
Every time we are at her place and we take pictures, the whole thing turns out to be a little grotesque party.
These are the results, we do get a little mad sometimes. But that's fun, not? :p
