London goodies

Today I finally had time to blow off some steam after a busy week. I slept, a lot and spend some quality time with my lover. Also made time for the blog, it's actually obvious, 'cause you're reading a new post...
As promised, here are my purchases from London (finally).
I didn't go crazy, I'm trying to minimize my shopping activity, but I'm still very happy with everything I bought.
Almost all of my items are from Primark as it is budget friendly. I didn't even bother going through all departments of Topshop, 'cause it's huge and quite expensive. I knew that I'd end up buying something anyway, so I only went through the accessories and the shoe department. I couldn't walk out of there empty handed, so I picked up a necklace and a bracelet.

I only bought colored garments in London, I guess I just miss summer.
These two dresses are from Primark. You already saw the dress in the previous post. Can't wait to wear the green one as well. It's made from a sheer fabric, so it'll be perfect for a warmer spring day!

The sweater is also from Primark, I couldn't catch it's right color on camera. It's much darker and less neon, though it also looks good this way. I already wore it this week, so expect an outfit post. That neon yellow thing on top of it is an extension, I bought two of them, also from Primark. I can't wait till the store opening in Ghent next year!

I just couldn't leave this necklace and bracelet, I had to have it,. Both are a nice addition to my skull and bones jewelry collection. Damn you, Topshop and your amazing stuff!

And why spend thousands on diamonds when you can buy those earrings just for £2.5 a pair at Primark.
They just look like old heirloom jewelry, don't you think?!

London coolness

Moving on to the second London outfit. As I said before, I decided to pack light to avoid carrying too much bags on the way home, I know the shopping routine. Not everyone was as smart so I ended up helping one of the girls out, you know who you're, addict :p
I don't like wearing the same outfit two days in a row, but sometimes it's impossible to avoid. Even though I didn't plan to shop (too much), going to London and not shop at Primark and Topshop is impossible. So that's how I ended up refreshing my outfit for a second day in London with yet another leopard print dress. I'm a leopard print addict, if there was such thing as a 'leopard print rehab', I'd be a resident. The rehab should totally be on an exotic island ,though, with palm trees and cocktails. But back to the topic... So another leopard print dress and just for £10!!! Just couldn't resist it.
Let me tell you that I never had as much fun taking outfit pictures and they turned out great. We were hanging out at this suburban neighborhood just across our hostel, pretending to be blogger gangsta's, sunglasses included. Needless to say that the the locals were interested in our activities, but being the polite people they are, never stared longer than a few seconds. I wish I'd had these girls with me everyday!
I had major difficulties choosing the pictures, I loved them that much. So, yet again an overload.

'Subtle' posing skillzzz

So finally I got to the second post of my London adventure. I'm busy with my internship at the moment, but more about it later.
This is the outfit of our first day in London. I like to wear comfortable clothes while traveling, but still look 'interesting'. Black is still my 'to go' color, especially in the winter. But I desperately wanted to wear my new leather Karen Millen jacket (I'm very much in love with it), so I arranged some nice temperatures with the weather gods. The sun was shining that Friday, it was a real spring day. I still ended up with too much layers, I guess I forgot how hot the tube is.
We practically occupied the both sides of the street while taking our outfit pictures. We were just meters away of the busy Oxford street. This whole group picture snapping looked quite funny.

My hair was so messed up that weekend from all the tube riding and the wind.

Not to be the black crow again, I added this pink Lanvin for H&M necklace to my outfit. I just bought it from Elien. I'm still heartbroken for missing the Lanvin collection in stores. I still don't get why I didn't end up going, especially because a lot items were still on sale racks. This necklace was among the items on my wishlist and I'm happy to have it, especially now when the hype is already over. What can I say, I'm just a sucker for statement jewelry! I love how this necklace gives a girly detail to my black outfit!

A big 'Thank U' to Paulien for snapping the pictures with her camera! She has a magic lens!

Thanks to Eurostar me and a four fellow blogger-friends headed out on a London adventure this weekend. I can't even start describing how excited we all were. The adventure started Friday morning, just hours before our departure I still needed to pack my bag and choose my outfits. I decided to travel light, which was a really smart thing to do, believe me. At noon Afrodite, Annebeth, Elien ,Paulien and I were ready for departure from Brussels. We got to travel in the Premier Standard area. The time flew by so fast and before we even knew we already were in London.

Arriving in London, just look at those happy faces!

At the stairs of Palmer's Lodge, our Victorian hostel. It is not only cheap and cozy, but incredibly beautiful too. I felt like I was on a movie set.

After dropping off our luggage at the Palmer's Lodge hostel were we were staying, we headed out to Oxford street. We only managed to visit one store, Primark. All of us went berzerk over the cheap, but wonderful clothes and accessories. Afterwards we were exhausted and hungry as hell. Luckily a table at Strada Spitalfields  was waiting for us. We ended up with a large group of people. The food was delicious, I just couldn't get enough and went for a dessert too.

The next day we headed out to Topshop and lost track of time once again, basically repeating the scenario of the previous day. Some shopped till they almost dropped. We were in need of food so we went for the typical English Fish and Chips combo at Garfunkel's.
Afterwards we headed to Somerset House for a taste of fashion week. Unfortunately we also got a taste of rain + a long walk combo, what left us with almost no time. To be honest I was a bit blown away by the whole happening. It was a pity that we didn't have more time to stroll around. The Eurostar was waiting to take us home...

Preach!

Happy Afrodite and Elien feeling totally at home.

Wanted to take the book store home, bag didn't agree :(

The food deserves it's own section here

The fish was huge and heavily fried. I'm sure you could actually cause injuries with it. It was delicious, though!

Off course we had to take Lana home with us!

Time really flies when you have fun and oh, boy, fun we had! I really want to thank all girls for their wonderful company and this amazing trip and for all the pictures! I love London even more now! Make sure to check out their blogs for their London experiences. Also expect some outfit pictures and a review of my purchases this week.
